The Music and Chapel department is pleased to invite all to attend an Easter Evening Prayer service in Kramer Chapel at CTSFW April 27 at 4:00 p.m. ET. This event will be livestreamed.
Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), will celebrate the second Sunday of Easter with a cantata by Lutheran composer Dietrich Buxtehude, "Today in Triumph Christ Arose." The piece will be sung by the seminary Schola Cantorum, with Kantor Matthew Machemer directing. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic brass will join Kantor Kevin Hildebrand, organist, in accompanying the choir and leading congregational hymns for the Easter season.The Schola Cantorum includes seminary students, spouses, and community singers; the group sings for several services throughout the academic year. The Kantorei is a menβs choir of CTSFW students studying for pastoral ministry under the direction of Kantor Kevin Hildebrand.Β
