The 2025 Good Shepherd Institute Conference at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), will be held November 9–11, 2025.
This year's theme will be "Skillful and Discerning: Cultivating our Callings."
“Our Lord is the Lord who serves.” This foundational statement, from the introduction to the Lutheran Service Book, underscores the church’s worship. “The Lord’s service also calls forth our service” as pastors, musicians, architects, artists, and other members of the body of Christ. How can we serve God and our neighbor skillfully, beautifully, and with care and concern? How do we operate within our vocations while avoiding the extremes of elitism on one side and mediocrity on another?
The 2025 Good Shepherd Institute conference will address these questions, with encouragement and application for congregational life together. In addition to the annual musical events, plenary speakers include David Fleming, Kevin Hildebrand, Scott Riedel, and Ken Schurb.
