Immerse yourself in an exploration of European history and culture on a tour of Portugal and Spain from February 22–March 4, 2026. Your excursion begins with an evening departure to Lisbon, a city celebrated for its maritime heritage and Renaissance architecture. Visit Lisbon’s historic sites and the picturesque landscapes of Portugal’s Alentejo region, then travel to culturally significant cities in Spain, including Seville, Madrid, Zaragoza, and Barcelona. Notable landmarks, including the Alcázar Palace, La Sagrada Família, and the Prado Museum, will provide a foundation for thoughtful examination of historical narratives and artistic achievements.
Your hosts for the trip are CTSFW President Dr. Jon S. Bruss and Dr. Kristine Bruss, CTSFW Communications. As a special addition to the tour, the group will have an opportunity to attend a Lutheran worship service on Sunday, March 1, and to learn more about The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s mission work in Spain.
The tour features round-trip airfare, first-class accommodations, comprehensive sightseeing, and curated cultural experiences. Participants will benefit from detailed historical interpretations, private motorcoach transfers, and the convenience of coordinated travel logistics. This expedition is designed to foster an enriching educational experience, blending scholarly inquiry with an appreciation for the enduring cultural legacy of Europe.
